Caminhada pela Prematuridade acontece neste domingo em Campo Grande
Campo Grande recebe neste domingo, 17 de novembro, a 4ª Caminhada pela Prematuridade, promovida pela Maternidade Cândido Mariano. A ação será realizada para dar visibilidade aos nascimentos prematuros, que acontecem antes da 37ª semana de gestação. O evento, que também serve para arrecadar fraldas tamanho RN ou prematuro, tem início às 8 horas na Praça Esportiva Belmar Fidalgo e a concentração será pela entrada da rua Dom Aquino.
De acordo com a organizadora do Novembro Roxo na Maternidade Cândido Mariano, a psicóloga Jackeline Medeiros, o objetivo principal é a prevenção. “Queremos alertar sobre o crescimento do número de partos prematuros, como evitá-los e falar das consequências não só para o bebê, mas também para a família”, explica a profissional.
O nascimento de prematuros no Brasil corresponde a 12,4% dos nascidos vivos, segundo os dados do Sistema de Informações Sobre Nascidos Vivos (Sinasc) e do Ministério da Saúde. “Esses bebês precisam de cuidados especiais, na maioria dos casos em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal, porque eles apresentam risco de morte e sequelas futuras três vezes mais que um não prematuro”, afirma a psicóloga.
E para refletir sobre a qualidade do atendimento oferecido aos prematuros e suas famílias em todo o país, além de pedir políticas públicas de prevenção e tratamentos modernos e adequados, será realizada a 4ª Caminhada pela Prematuridade da Maternidade Cândido Mariano, no Dia Mundial da Prematuridade e Dia Estadual da Prematuridade, 17 de novembro.
