O curso foi realizado nos períodos diurno e noturno, durante os meses de novembro e dezembro de 2020 e foi aplicado aos funcionários da Maternidade Cândido Mariano. A capacitação faz parte da Iniciativa Hospital Amigo da Criança (IHAC) e tem a intenção de transmitir os “dez passos para o sucesso do aleitamento materno”, com base no conhecimento e na colaboração entre as mães e o hospital. Por conta da pandemia, a Maternidade seguiu as orientações e protocolos de segurança baseados em higiene, monitoramento e comunicação, organizando equipes que trabalham no mesmo período e que já possuem contato diariamente na instituição.
