Esta é a Casa da Mãe Gestante, que agora solicita de doações de produtos de higiene para as mães e fraldas para os recém-nascidos.
O espaço foi inaugurado no ano de 2003 e tem capacidade de até 10 camas para as mães que necessitam de acolhimento. Porém, o projeto depende da ajuda financeira de pessoas e empresas para se manter, principalmente porque muitas puérperas se hospedam totalmente sem dinheiro ou auxílio e algumas levam apenas a roupa do corpo para o hospital.
De acordo com a assistente social da Maternidade Cândido Mariano, Taline Mara Ricardino, o objetivo principal é oferecer acolhimento humanizado. “A mãe chega para dar à luz na maternidade e se ele precisa ficar mais dias para acompanhar o recém-nascido, que muitas vezes fica internado na UTI Neonatal, é oferecido um espaço para ela se hospedar. Em alguns casos ela não está preparada para passar semanas ou até meses longe de casa e é pega de surpresa”, afirma.
Durante o tempo de hospedagem são oferecidas às mães orientações de saúde e autocuidado, tudo com acompanhamento especializado. “As puérperas também têm liberdade de sair e voltar quando quiserem, de assistir TV, receber visitas nos horários estabelecidos pela maternidade e, principalmente, conhecer outras mães para trocar experiências e fazer amizade”, revela a profissional.
Já a outra assistente social da Maternidade, Camila Madeira Freire Matos, explica que os itens básicos de higiene estão sendo racionados e por isso existe a necessidade de doações. “Paras as mães, nós precisamos de sabonetes, cremes dentais, escovas de dente, shampoos, condicionadores, cremes para o corpo e desodorantes. Já para os bebês, necessitamos de fraldas e sabonetes líquido”, diz.
Vale ressaltar que não serão aceitas doações em dinheiro e, no caso dos recém-nascidos, não serão recebidos sabonete em barra por conta do risco de contaminação.
