Inclusão e oportunidades são temas da Semana da Síndrome de Down
A Semana da Síndrome de Down, que acontece entre os dias 15 e 18 de julho de 2019 na Maternidade Cândido Mariano, tem palestras gratuitas com psicóloga, terapeuta ocupacional, fonoaudiólogas e fisioterapeuta. A intenção é tratar de temas como inclusão e oportunidades, para aumentar a conscientização e mostrar que pessoas Down podem ter uma vida saudável e plena.
Todos os profissionais e palestrantes trabalham na Associação Juliano Varela, que é a única ONG de Mato Grosso do Sul especializada em Síndrome de Down. São eles: Fatiane Moreira, que é Terapeuta Ocupacional e fala sobre a “Abordagem da Terapia Ocupacional na Estimulação Precoce” e a Geice Gabriela, psicóloga, que explica sobre a “Instituição, Acolhida e Suporte Psicológico na Adesão ao Acompanhamento”.
Também fazem parte do cast de palestrantes as fonoaudiólogas Liliane Pires e Mariza Leal, que ministram a palestra sobre a “Abordagem da Fonoaudióloga na Estimulação Precoce” e a Rosângela Gauna, que é fisioterapeuta e conversa sobre a “Síndrome de Down e a Atuação da Fisioterapeuta na Estimulação Precoce”.
De acordo com a coordenadora do Núcleo de Psicologia da Maternidade Cândido Mariano, a psicóloga Claudia Pinho, houve uma significativa mudança no comportamento da sociedade em relação as pessoas com Síndrome de Down, mas ainda há muito para alcançar. “Ações como esta servem para conscientizar as pessoas e, a partir do momento que a sociedade entende, a inclusão e o respeito acontecem e, aliado ao amor, o potencial deles se torna bem maior”, afirma.
